Get To Know Pastor Sean

Sean Azzaro is on a journey to experience Real Life. Through message, story, and song, he loves to share this journey with others! Sean and his wife Lauri are pastors who minister in and through a truly unique community called River City Community Church.

But Sean didn’t set out to be a Pastor…

He grew up as a member of an accomplished family in the small and exciting world of professional polo. After spending his early years preparing for a promising career in the equestrian sport, Sean began to sense the Lord’s call into ministry. What followed was one of the most difficult decisions of his life as he left the world of polo to follow the Lord’s leading. Sean’s first years of ministry were spent serving as a pastor of youth and music in a local church body.

In 1998, Sean and Lauri founded River City Community Church. What began in their home with four other families has grown into an amazing, vibrant, Christian community and multiplied into a network of churches called the Real Life Network. Sean is also the founder of Reaching for Real Life, which is a leadership and communication ministry dedicated to the mission of, “More people living Real Life by passionately following Jesus”.

Pastor, musician, author, and speaker, Sean has an unusual gift for helping people see spiritual truth through fresh lenses. His rare blend of humor, biblical insight, and real-life truth has helped thousands of people take their next step on the journey to real life!

Sean is featured daily on the Reaching for Real Life radio program and podcast. He says of himself, “I am a husband, dad, grandfather, pastor, and musician – who loves his Savior, his family, his job, and going without socks. The best part is, I get to pastor the amazing people of River City Community Church, which really is a church for real life!”

Sean and Lauri have 2 children and 5 grandchildren and live in the Texas hill country outside of San Antonio, TX.

“Joy is the fruit of connection, not circumstance.”
