And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
More than anything else, this is what we celebrate at Christmas! The Word… Jesus Christ Himself, became one of us so that we could visibly experience the glory of the Father! Our God’s love, patience, power, majesty, justice, mercy, and faithfulness in human form. Our God is infinite, without beginning or end. It can be a challenge for us to grasp His nature in ways that we can relate to. In Christ we see creator in the form of the creation. We see all His glory, grace, and truth on full display… and in the flesh.
In these final days of Christmas celebration, look intently upon Jesus. See Him as He is: not just the babe in a manger, but the glory of the Father!
The old carol beautifully extends the invitation…
O come, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of Angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
May you have a glorious Christmas as you worship the Christ!
